Nick Talent Style keeps talent on brand for events, press, promos, photoshoots and other appearances where they are themselves and generate awareness of the channel; driving tune-in to our programming and enhancing the image of the brand through fashion. The Nick Talent Style team works with each talent to create styles that are true to them and they keep the talent aspirational yet relatable to the audience. The intern will assist stylists with shopping, returning, fittings, and finance - on set, in the office, and/or on the orange carpet. Interns should have a good sense of style and must be detail-oriented.

Nickelodeon's Entertainment Lab in Burbank is an R&D team focused on creating innovative experiences for various productions and original content as well. The team combines both technology, games, and animation to create new forms of entertainment and explore new production pipelines. This intern will utilize their skill sets to assist the Virtual Reality team with creation, testing, and demos, aid in the design of features for experiences, research current technologies in the innovation space, organize previous and existing projects, and have the opportunity to have in-depth, hands-on experience when it comes to the virtual reality and games engineering world.
Familiarity with Photoshop, Premiere, and Unity required. Knowledge of Maya a plus. High proficiency in Unity and Unreal a major plus. Working knowledge and a strong computer science foundation also a huge plus.
Nickelodeon's Animation Technology department handles support for the productions and departments at the studio. This team is service focused and tests software, writes custom tools, integrates systems, troubleshoots, and provides consultation in regards to various production pipelines.
Potential intern projects include checking Maya files for archives, checking other archive records for processing errors, updating and rebuilding layouts in FileMaker Pro to implement established themes, building new layouts in FileMaker, writing scripts in powershell, building reporting features for Shotgun, helping to update documentation, in addition to various other coding projects.
The ideal intern candidate will possess some coding experience. Python knowledge is ideal however if the candidate does not have any Python experience but possesses a a strong computer science foundation, Python can be taught. Experience in Maya is a plus. Experience in or an understanding of Animation Production also a major plus.
Nickelodeon's International Marketing department develops and oversees partnership opportunities internationally for our Nickelodeon properties including prosocial initiatives to drive revenues. This department intern will create images, gifs, banners, templates for the department newsletter. An ideal candidate would be highly proficient in Photoshop and various design programs. This intern will also research new and exciting graphics/key art/digital campaigns within the competitor space. In addition, this intern will contribute new and exciting ways to reach Nickelodeon's target audience to increase digital traffic promoting the company's Orange Carpet Special Edition episodes online.
Nickelodeon's Consumer Marketingdepartment is responsible for all strategic planning and execution of on and off-channel campaigns supporting Nickelodeon live action and animated shows, tentpole events, TV movies and talent marketing. The team is responsible for defining network objectives, identifying target audiences, surfacing relevant research insights, and developing strategies that guide the creation of all marketing pertaining to a property or talent. The department intern will support the LA-based Manager in upcoming live action series, tentpole event launches, talent marketing initiatives as well as sustaining existing properties. This includes assisting with trafficking marketing materials, competitive research, social media influencer and talent tracking, marketing rollout calendars, creating one sheets, and a TBD long-term project. General requirements for the Consumer Marketing intern - proficient in Microsoft Office products and heavy experience in the Social Media space. Spanish language proficiency a plus.
Nickelodeon's Talent and Celebrity Events department oversees all Nick Talent requests for our live action series, guest star roles and talent appearing at our tentpole events such as Kids Choice Awards and Kids Choice Sports.
The Talent and Celebrity Events intern will work with both the Talent Relations Team and Events/Celebrity Outreach Team. This person is responsible for being well-versed in Nickelodeon's live action programming and tentpole events such as Kids' Choice Awards and Kids' Choice Sports to help assist the team in the communication with talent and researching new talent that may be booked for shows for the Nickelodeon channel. This intern will draft talent itineraries, help book travel and prep for talent shoots. In addition, there may be possible opportunities to attend tapings as well as gain experience as a runner on shoot dates.
Nickelodeon's Culture and Digital Community department in Burbank focuses on the talent, fandom and energy surrounding the behind-the-scenes work at Nickelodeon, particularly with animated series past and present. Managing @NickAnimation on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Tumblr each day for a digital community of nearly two million total followers, the department produces several in-house videos and original content each year, from interviewing show creators and crew, to video editing and graphic design (using Adobe Creative Cloud), to copywriting and social media monitoring for each post. Culture and Digital Community serves to celebrate and showcase the unique culture and history of Nickelodeon, to attract and retain talent, and to inspire fans by telling the story of the hard work and artistry that happens #InsideNick.
Nickelodeon's West Coast Social Media Marketing team captures and creates content to serve Nickelodeon brand and franchise digital platforms, particularly ephemeral social content like Instagram and Facebook stories, Snapchat and similar platforms. Interns should be extremely proficient in Adobe Premiere, Adobe AfterEffects, Photoshop as well as a passion for all things social media! Interns may be involved with writing clever copy (captions) for social media posts, across multiple platforms, Clipping funny/key moments from upcoming premieres to promote on social media and creating gifs, boomerangs and other short-form video content for multi-use across platform. Interns may be scripting, editing & producing original content & animated graphics for Instagram Stories & other live story platforms as well as have the chance to identify opportunities to engage in positive, direct dialogue with our social communities across all platform. Other responsibilities include updating episode delivery schedules & programming calendars, managing daily/weekly tasks assigned by our team Manage the Nick brand accounts specifically live action and animation properties with an emphasis in content marketing and live social platforms
The Viacom Digital Studios department creates original short form content for NIckelodeon's online digital platforms. Intern duties include (but are not limited to) writing creative summaries, setting up and operating camera and lighting for projects, assist with post-production workflow, assembling edit timelines for lead editor, and occasionally editing complete projects from start-to-finish.
The Content Insights & Research team is responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative research that will inform Nickelodeon’s content strategy. In addition to large-scale landscape studies, they are the key resource in evaluating digital, short form, development, acquisition, competitive and current series. They are the voice of kid consumers and translate data into meaningful analysis, creating clear stories, and offering insight into what it might mean for the business, and ideas for implications and actions.
Intern Key Responsibilities: Assisting with in-house qualitative research (checking-in kids, collecting homework, taking notes etc.), Collecting & managing research assets, Data input, Managing and updating research/trend wall. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Photoshop, Qualitative and/or Quantitative Research.
The Animation Casting Intern works on the Nickelodeon Animation Talent & Casting Team to support their VP, Director, Coordinator, and Assistant. The team oversees all Nickelodeon animated projects from original scripted series, pilots and movies, to digital and promo/short-form content. The intern is expected to assist with preparation for record sessions and auditions, which includes creating binders, highlighting scripts, line counts, making copies and filing paperwork. Interns may also be asked to assist with sitting in on record sessions and taking circle takes (notes).
The Animation Casting Intern will have opportunities to conduct their own talent scouting and bring new ideas to the table through several outlets. They will partner with the other interns from the entire Talent Department to find emerging talent to share with the team bi-weekly. In addition to this, they will get the chance to research fun and exciting facts about our current Nickelodeon talent to share through social media.
The Live-Action Casting Intern works on the Nickelodeon Live-Action Team to support their VP, Sr Director, Coordinator, and Assistant. The team oversees all Nickelodeon projects with real people (no animation) from original scripted series, pilots and movies, to unscripted, to digital and promo/short-form. The intern is expected to assist with preparation for auditions, which includes creating session sheets, printing headshots and resumes, prepping the audition room, and setting up or running camera & lighting equipment. Interns will also learn how to utilize Breakdown Express to upload auditions, search for talent, and create links. They will become familiar with IMDBPro and StudioSystem, both of which the team frequently uses to research actors and industry professionals. Familiarity with these programs, as well as iMovie, is a plus but not required.
The team empowers their interns to be creative and bring new ideas to the table by searching digital and traditional platforms for new and emerging talent. Interns will partner with their East Coast counterpart to create a weekly or bi-weekly newsletter with relevant industry news, updates on young actors, and their own scouting discoveries. This is a great opportunity for them to show the team their eye for talent and bring fresh ideas to the table. Interns may also be asked to assist with live events such as open casting calls and Nickelodeon awards shows.
Communications/Publicity communicates the company's strategic vision both externally and internally; and generates awareness of the channel, driving tune-in to our programming and enhancing the image of our brands through media outreach. They connect with our audiences by telling compelling, consistent and profound stories that ultimately build brand advocacy. They draft press releases, pitch letters, tune-in alerts, programming notes, press strategies and more. These teams may also assist with talent press days, red carpet events and tentpoles.
Nickelodeon's Talent Development & Outreach department oversees the Writing & Artist Programs as well as College and Industry outreach and events.
Interns will gain experience in creating social media content for the Writing Program and Artist Program Facebook and Twitter pages, creating internal announcements and marketing, and assisting with submission coverage as needed. Interns will also prepare and package giveaways for shipment, maintain inventory, research marketing opportunities for events, create social media plan for events, create graphics for events as well as possibly working onsite at events. Interns must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), Filmmaker Pro, and Final Cut Pro.
